Urbano Fellows

Urbano Apprentices are an exemplary group of program alumni who have participated in Urbano’s programs for at least two semesters. Previously known as Fellows and Young Curators, ten to fifteen youth artists met year-round, serving as peer leaders. These youth artists worked with a lead artist to host events, research and conceptualize new ideas, and produce artwork, often in partnership with area organizations.

Starting in 2018, the Fellows program became the Youth Artist Apprenticeship program where long time Urbano Youth Artists work closely with Urbano’s administrative staff to learn some of the nuts and bolts of running an arts organization. The help handle tasks ranging from documentation of projects, facilitating events and workshops, and marketing on social media and our website.
