Peace Line

These silkscreened silk scarfs were sewn together in a continuous line for use in public art interventions and performances. They were then available for sale as individual art multiples.

The Peace Line was an inversion of police tape. It marked off a space within which a vision for an Emancipated City is taking shape, and invites passersby to join in re-imagining Boston. The invitation exemplified the ethos of the new epoch: the values and attitudes of Emancipated City citizens.
