Music Production Workshop Summer 2018
Teaching Artist: Alexander Barsov
In collaboration with Darren Cole’s filmmaking workshop, Barsov led Urbano Youth Artists in making an original score to the film the video class had made. Students were exposed to thinking creatively and critically about the nuanced task of adding an emotional color to the content of the film.
After learning the elements of music: melody, harmony, rhythm, timbre; as well as how music is written on paper and the fundamentals of Logic Pro software, students crafted a beautiful score that put the finishing touches to the final film. Watch the film here:
