Exhibition Opening Reception in the Urbano Studio

As Artist-in-Residence, Nathalia will teach Urbano’s youth artists textile design and techniques including printing, sewing, embroidering, and block printing design. Classes will use mapping data from Olin College, and tie in to the Gardner Museum’s upcoming exhibit Big Plans: Picturing Urban Reform (June 20 - September 15, 2019). Students will develop and produce elements for a Map This textile intervention at the free ISGM Neighborhood Night Block Party on Thursday Aug 22nd from 5-9pm. These textiles and other class outputs will be celebrated in a YAP class exhibition opening, August 24, 6-8.  Both the students work and Nathalia’s Map This exhibitions will be on view at Urbano Project until August 30.
